Digital Product Passports (DPP)

We are developing a solution for creating digital product passports (DPP).
These DPPs are a key element of the EU's planned Ecodesign Regulation for Sustainable Products (ESPR). They are intended to improve the traceability of products and their components and promote the circular economy. The digital product passports are easily accessible by scanning a QR code on the product. They contain information such as the shelf life and reparability, the recycled content or the availability of spare parts for a product. The aim is to facilitate the EU's transition to a circular economy.

Digital Battery Passports - the first obligatory DPPs introduced

The digital battery passport is a core element of the new EU Battery Regulation, serves as the first digital product passport in the EU and will be mandatory for many types of batteries from 2027. It contains information on the composition of the battery (such as the origin of the materials and their recycling options), but also documents the entire life cycle of a battery along its value chain.
The aim of the battery passport is to improve transparency and sustainability in the battery industry in order to reduce the environmental impact of batteries and promote the circular economy.
