Basel, 12.03.2025 – In view of the imminent introduction of Digital Product Passports (DPP) in the EU, Burckhardt Compression, GS1 Switzerland and BloqSens have carried out a successful pilot project together. The aim was to understand the requirements of the DPP regulation, identify opportunities for companies and implement the demo version of a DPP using an exemplary product.
Basel, Switzerland, February 18, 2025 – A study carried out at Bern University of Applied Sciences (BFH) examines the impact of the EU battery passport, which will be mandatory from 2027, on Swiss companies. The study, conducted in collaboration with BloqSens AG, shows that the digital battery passport is an important tool for promoting transparency and circularity in the battery industry. The analysis highlights the potential to drive digitalization and automation in the industry and can serve as a model for digital product passports in other sectors.

September 2024 – BloqSens AG, a provider of Digital Product Passport solutions, today announced that they have been awarded a developer grant of $25,000 USD by the DFINITY Foundation. The grant serves the purpose of advancing a minimum viable product (MVP) of a Digital Battery Passport running on the Internet Computer Protocol (ICP). BloqSens is realizing this MVP together with its main technical implementation partner, CoreLedger AG, a blockchain software company headquartered in Liechtenstein with offices in Cryptovalley, Zug.
Basel, 28 May 2024 – As the EU will introduce a “passport obligation” for industrial batteries in 2027, Swiss market players will also have to adapt. BloqSens Ltd. has therefore teamed up with the technology innovation center CSEM to launch an EUcompliant digital battery passport “Made in Switzerland”.
