The passport contains information on the composition and chemistry of the batteries, the materials used, performance data and information on end-of-life recycling.
However, the final requirements for the passport data have not yet been finalized. It can currently be assumed that – depending on the battery type – around one hundred attributes/values will have to be specified. However, this information is not all public, but a regulated rights management system ensures that the various players along the value chain only have access to the information they need and have been approved for.
