If the battery passport is created by the battery manufacturer (or the importer), how is it ensured that data can be added later when the battery goes into 2nd use, is repaired or recycled, i.e. in cases where the manufacturer will often no longer be directly involved?
- In fact, in a circular economy there are numerous other players who reuse a battery, put it into operation for another purpose after 1st life use or recycle it.
It must therefore be ensured that they can update or supplement the battery passport, either by updating the initially created passport or by creating a new one that is linked to the initial passport.
